"My daughter has a hard time holding still which translates into a hard time falling asleep. She's been doing much better with this lately. She said it 'feels like sleeping in a hug'!"
THE PERFECT ADDITION TO YOUR CHILD'S BEDROOM
Bedtime IMPROVED! Have you struggled to help your child relax and get restful sleep? Start your journey to better sleep (and mood!) with a compression sheet. The compression sheet offers deep touch pressure (like a hug!) which helps regulate the nervous system. This releases melatonin helping relax your child. The melatonin turns into serotonin leading to deeper, more restful sleep. You'll love how your child curls up under the compression sheet as they relax and drift to sleep.
EASY TO SET UP AND REMOVAL - MADE MACHINE WASHABLE
Children get messy (and sweaty!). That's why our sheet is an easy on/off the bed and designed to be machine washable. Simply slide the sensory sheet over the mattress like a sleeve. The sheet fits snugly around two-thirds of the bed leaving plenty of room for both the head and feet to stick out accommodating those who prefer their feet not be compressed.

DEEP TOUCH PRESSURE
The Harkla Compression Sheet does just what its name implies, it provides compression! The science behind the Harkla Compression Sheet is Deep Touch Pressure (DTP). DTP is simply distributed weight across the body. If you'd like to read more about the natural benefits of DTP, we wrote a guide to it here.
DTP releases serotonin in the body which turns into melatonin, as well as decreased nervous system activity. These combine to give a feeling of calm, relaxation and naturally improved sleep. If you'd like to dive into the studies about weighted blankets and the science behind the, we wrote an article on it here.
1% OF ALL SALES GO TO THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON AUTISM CENTER
At Harkla, our goal is to help those with special needs live happy and healthy lives. To continue this mission, we donate 1% of every sale to the University of Washington Autism Center. My kids didnt need compression but like it. Often they sleep on top. However still a win! Beds look made and kids room looks like a hotel! Dreamy!!
WE have a million sensory toys and therapeutic items for our daughter - I am not exaggerating much here, either. The issue with the weighted blankets that we have is that they get too hot, and so they are only usable in the winter if we keep the house really cold - she is a little heater that is always hot! The sheet gives a good middle ground - she is covered like she has to be in order to sleep, but she isn't too hot - the sheet is thinner than a blanket, but not too thin - it still gives good resistance. She says it is really comfortable, and feels like she is sleeping in a nest. If she is happy, I am happy. My biggest complaint is that we change sheets weekly, and this is a pain in the butt, but you know that when you buy it, and frankly anything that gets her a couple of hours of sleep is worth it! If you have an autistic child who struggles with sleep, you know as well as I do that 20 minutes of annoyance once per week is WELL worth it.
My energetic 7 year old son says this is his new favorite blanket and it helps him fall and stay asleep better.
Well at first I thought I had goofed big time by getting this sheet. My son actually caught on to,how its supposed to be put on the bed. At first I thought NAH! But I tried it.I lost my son in August and my husband in Dec! My sleeping has been ruined by constant thoughts and TOSSING and turning! When I' slipped. into the sheet' it wasent bad at all. In fact it's the first night I slept 8 hours!!! This sheet along with my weighted blanket makes me feel like someone is laying in bed with me! Like im being hugged.. And that's been a huge comfort to me# the sheet is not weighted per say! It's how the sheet is placed that keeps me from, tossing and turning. I'm very Very happy with this. Recommend to anyone who's going through, some hard times to,give this sheet and a weighted blanket a try! Its a wonderful peaceful feeling and sleep. Would buy again
While we've only tried the sheet for one night, my 6 year old son (ASD 1/ADHD/SPD) loves it. He is a night sweater, so the weighted blankets weren't a great fit but he loves the sheet. I love the navy color. It's stretchy and tight without being too tight. He didn't stay asleep all night but he was eager to go to his own bed which is a drastic improvement.
