By incorporating a variety of activities that address upper body strength and stability, fine motor dexterity and control, and by making the activities fun and motivating, your child will gain new skills while having fun.
They definitely can! However, we believe that by making it fun and motivating, your child is more likely to retain skills and more likely to enjoy learning these new skills!
Stickers require the use of a pincer grasp - the index finger and thumb. This grasp is essential for fine motor skill development. Stickers are also fun and motivating, and require hand-eye coordination to place the stickers on a designated spot, thus developing another important fine motor skills.
Similar to stickers, painter’s tape requires the use of a refined fine motor grasp. The activities in this course that use painter’s tape also help enhance hand-eye coordination and bilateral integration, thus promoting skill development in many areas!
A deck of playing cards is a great tool to build a variety of fine motor skills, especially intrinsic hand strength - the development of the hand muscles. These activities also address overall fine motor coordination
