"The swing was very easy to install, and it works great for our special needs child. She is able to find her special place and duck out of stressful situations in it."
If you are looking for sensory or therapy swings to help your child relax and get their bearings in, then you’ve come to the right spot. Our autistic swings are made of high-quality but comfortable canvas that your child will want to spend hours in.
Our Pod Sensory Swings are used by occupational therapists for autism spectrum disorder and sensory processing disorder. The Pod Sensory Swing provides a hug-like effect for little ones by providing Deep Touch Pressure (DTP). The Pod Sensory Swing also provides vestibular input. From infancy through adulthood, vestibular information contributes to the development of muscle tone, balance, eye movements, and more. Using slow, linear movements with Pod Sensory Swing (back and forth, side to side) gives much needed vestibular input and creates a feeling of calm in your child.
However, many families purchase them simply because they are a fun place for your child to hang out in!
Since our indoor therapy swing safely hangs from your ceiling, your child can receive the calming sense of wellbeing that swinging brings right in your home.

VESTIBULAR INPUT & DEEP TOUCH PRESSURE
Sensory swings provide vestibular input. Vestibular input is the sensation of any change in position, direction, or movement of the head. It gives our bodies information about whether we are moving with or against gravity, fast or slow, moving or still, and what direction we're headed. If you'd like to learn more about sensory swings and the science behind them, we wrote a guide to it here.
Sensory swings also provide Deep Touch Pressure (DTP). DTP is simply distributed weight across the body that can give a feeling of calm, relaxation, and naturally improved sleep. If you'd like to read more about the natural benefits of DTP, we wrote an article on it here.

I got this for my niece and she absolutely loves it! It makes me so happy to see her happy
We love the sensory swing. He loves to spin as fast as possible or when we are trying to quiet down just swing like a pendulum. We found the blow up cushion to uncomfortable so switched it up with a throw pillow which works better for us. He is only two and a half so anticipate a long relationship with the swing.
Pod Sensory Swing
If you have a child with autism this is a great go too ! Especially after a melt down !
We just found out our youngest has autism, and I noticed he loves the swings whenever we played at the playground, but since I can’t go to playgrounds anymore, it was a huge bummer. Then I came across this pod swing. It was such a hit for him. He spends a lot of time in it and it makes him happy. So that makes me happy. Now my older kids all want one for their bedrooms. Lol.
