Who could benefit from a weighted vest?
Weighted vests are typically used for children with sensory issues, autism spectrum disorder, or ADHD. The vest helps the child calm down and focus better.
You can read our article here on the benefits of weighted vests.
What is the difference between a weighted vest and a compression vest?
Some vests you will find will provide only compression or only weights. These can work great if you only need one of those features for your child.
While both accomplish similar things, the compression is designed to help with your child's calmness from the deep touch pressure. The weight provides that, but also provides a groundedness that can come from the extra weight.
If you'd like to read more about the differences, check out our blog post here.
Fortunately, our vest is both a compression vest and weighted vest to give you the best of both worlds!

Awesome vest

Love this vest!! My son loves it too and doesn't fight me when it's best time like he has other vests!! Haven't washed it yet but have had about a month and use several times a day and looks new still!

Great vest

This is a great product and our son loves it. He uses the vest to keep himself calm and focused and also calls himself a superman after wearing the same. In addition to the product being great, the customer service is even better. We unfortunately ran into an issue but they were on it right away and sent us a free replacement as well. I highly recommend this company and their product..

Harkla Vest for kids

We are very pleased with the weighted compression vest that our 6 yr old with ADHD wears to school. Our daughter spent most of her preschool years and most of the kindergarten year acting out aggressively at times. This was along with trouble focusing and staying calm. So, after finding the right dose in prescripted medication there still was problems with aggression in stressful situations. I have her wear the vest to school and taken off by the teacher 40 minutes later. Depending on how often it is needed for the school day is up to the teachers. It’s improved Dannielle’s behavior so much having it that it is documented on the 504 plan at school to accommodate her needs. Another year of Kindergarten isn’t a bad idea either. We are doing that too for her best interest at heart! So grateful and empowered by the results in our child doing better! Successful outcome and grateful for it! -Harkla Fans for life
