Compression Sensory Swing 4-Holed Ceiling Hook Mounting Plate Recall | 2026

IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL

4-Holed Ceiling Hook Mounting Plate Recall for Harkla Blue Compression Sensory Swings

At Harkla, the families who trust our products are our highest priority.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada, Harkla is conducting a voluntary recall of certain BLUE Harkla Compression Sensory Swings sold between March 2020 and December 2025 with a 4-holed ceiling hook mounting plate.

In certain units, the hook may separate from the ceiling mounting plate, causing the swing to fall and posing a fall hazard.

If you have a recalled 4-hole ceiling hook, stop using your swing immediately.

Harkla is providing free Hardware Replacement Kits with our updated ceiling hook and installation instructions. You can request your free replacement kit using the form below.

If your swing has the 2-hole ceiling hook shown here, that ceiling hook is not included in this recall.

IMPORTANT

Please Stop Usage of Your Compression Sensory Swing Immediately

If you have a 4-holed ceiling hook mounting plate for your Harkla Compression Sensory Swing, please stop usage immediately.

All customers who have purchased a Harkla Sensory Swing with a 4-holed ceiling hook mounting plate are eligible for a free hardware replacement kit.

The hardware replacement kit comes with our newest 2-bolt, single cast ceiling hook, along with new carabiners, daisy chain, and safety strap.

Along with the hardware replacement kit, you will receive new, detailed instructions for properly setting up your Harkla Sensory Swing.

These replacement kits will be sent out at the beginning of November, and we truly appreciate your patience on this.

IMPORTANT FOR 2-HOLE CEILING HOOKS

Do You have a 2-Hole Single Cast Ceiling Hook?

If your swing has a ceiling hook with 2 holes, as seen in the picture next to here, your ceiling hook is not being recalled.

The 2-hole ceiling hook is one single mold, which does not have the welding attachment that the 4-hole ceiling hook has.

However, we do have updated hangingin instructions for your swing that is focused on:

  • More specific information on checking your ceiling hook and hardware for wear and tear
  • The proper way to set up your Harkla Sensory Swing

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I have more than one sensory swing with the 4-hole ceiling hook. How do I get multiple kits?

Yes. Please fill out the form one time for EACH kit you need.

  • I have a 2-Holed Ceiling Hook. Anything I should know?

If your swing has a ceiling hook with 2 holes, as seen in the picture next to here, your ceiling hook is not being recalled.

The 2-hole ceiling hook is one single mold, which does not have the welding attachment that the 4-hole ceiling hook has.

However, we do have updated hanging instructions for your swing that are focused on:

    • More specific information on checking your ceiling hook and hardware for wear and tear

  • When should I expect my hardware kit?

We will be processing hardware kits as fast as we can.

You can expect your swing recall kit about 10 days after you submit the form.

We appreciate your patience with this.

  • Why is the 2-hole ceiling hook an improvement over the 4-hole ceiling mount?

The primary design improvement is the elimination of the
welded load-bearing connection used in the 4-hole ceiling mount. The 4-hole
design uses a separate load-bearing hook that is welded to the mounting plate.

    The current 2-hole ceiling hook is a one-piece, non-welded stainless-steel
component, so it does not contain the welded connection associated with this
    recall.

Harkla is recalling all 4-hole ceiling mounts because the
earlier and later reinforced-weld versions are very similar in appearance and
may be difficult for consumers to reliably distinguish. The 2-hole ceiling hook
is physically and mechanically different and is not included in this recall.
