I have a 5 year old non verbal daughter, and she calms down significantly when she wears this weighted vest. She wears the size 4/5 and it fits her well. I really like that you can adjust the amount of weight instead of being stuck with one set weight.

The weights are made from fabric chambers with weighted beads inside, so they’re flexible and fit nicely into the vest. The vest itself looks more like regular clothing, which I really like. It has been a great addition to our routine and seems to give her the extra sensory input she needs to help her stay calm. Definitely worth 5 stars for us!

A fantastic, everyday-looking weighted vest that delivers discreet sensory support without looking like a medical device. This delivers deep pressure input and feels grounded like a hug, great for kids to self regulate.

Sizing was spot on. My 6-year-old daughter is on the petite side (around the 30th to 40th percentile for height and weight), and the 4T/5T size fits her nicely with a bit of comfortable room to grow. Since 5T tops fit her well in standard clothing brands, I’d say this runs very true to size.

The weight system has a 2 snap-button closures keep the weights completely secure so they don't shift or slip out. Once inside, everything lays surprisingly flat. Doesn't looks lumpy or awkward under clothing. Easy to slip in and take out.

I was so relieved to see no scratchy tags at the back of the neck collar! The garment tag is placed down near the hip/waistband, which is a massive win for kids with severe tag/tactile sensitivities. The 80% cotton blend feels super soft and breathable.

I absolutely LOVE Harkla's shoutout encouraging parents to pass the vest down to another child when outgrown instead of pushing you to buy new every time. Promoting reuse over corporate profit is such a refreshing touch!!! Great company!

I could feel the quality in this vest the moment I opened the box. Even if you don’t use the weights, the material itself makes for a very nice piece of clothing. It’s very well made and fashionable. The weights are a comfortable addition and a fantastic hidden feature. They slide in easy and button in to the point you don’t even notice. They are easy to adjust to the level that suites your child best. My son is only two and has not been diagnosed but he is in early intervention for some developmental delays so I like having this on hand. I can have it as a tool to assist him if he needs it. I love that it is adjustable so I can start the weight off very low and see if it helps him with some of his tough days. Even if it doesn’t have any effect, the vest itself is very nice and looks so handsome on him!

I absolutely love Harold products for my son! This weighed vest is no exception! I was skeptical when the description said “hidden zipper pockets”. I figured it would be obviously where the zippers were. Not so! They are so hidden, it took me a a few minutes to find them all! You really wouldn’t know this is a weight vest just by looking at it. That was important for when my son wears it in public. I love that I can adjust the weights and the location for what works best for him!
It’s a very comfortable material that’s not hot to wear. It fits well, and is really well made.
The instructions are very helpful as well.
I do wish the weighted bags were labeled what weight they are. It’s a little hard to tell which one is heavier/lighter just by picking them up.
Overall we are so pleased with this vest!!

This weighted vest is amazing. It seems well made without being overly bulky, and I like that the weight can be adjusted depending on what works best for your child. It can even be used without the weights. The top part is a windbreaker material and the bottom is fleece, so it’s more suitable for colder conditions. I also like that it looks more like a regular vest than some other sensory clothing out there. The 4/5T size was true to size, but because it’s a vest, it could fit a child who is one size bigger. Definitely a good option for families looking for something practical and easy to use at home or in the classroom.

I was not expecting this to be as adjustable as it is. It comes with so many weight optionsx it's easy to get it just right with not too long of time and would fit like a adult XS if you're a small adult looking for one. My daughter overall really likes this and she appreciates the hug from this vest all day long.

This vest has a very soft and secure feeling. The zipper is high quality, and I’m not concerned about it going off track. The weights are perfect for helping my child focus. The hidden shoulder zippers are impressively discreet! The lower inner body weight pocket areas have snaps, which is really nice. I wish the upper back and chest area for weights also had snaps, that’s my biggest complaint. My child cant bend forward without the weights falling out of place and sliding around over the upper back compartment, which is kind of annoying. Also, the lack of snaps on the upper inner weight compartments means that this vest needs to be stored upright, or the weights go everywhere within the upper compartment. It’s been pretty inconvenient. However, this wouldn’t be an issue if you omitted the shoulder weights.

The collar is also a bit long, but not too long to fold over. If you have a child who chews clothing, you might want to be aware of this. My child doesn’t chew his clothes, but chews this collar. I’m happy with this purchase, but not as happy as I thought I’d be

Our Autistic son has one, and it's amazingly soft and comfortable as well as stylish. We love that the weights are removable, so you can adjust it to your child's needs, also handy when laundering. I would recommend this vest to all families with children that have special needs and can benefit from the use of a weighted vest.

I am genuinely impressed with the design and quality of this weighted vest. It feels like someone actually thought about how a child would wear and use it rather than simply sewing pockets onto a vest and calling it a day.

One of my favorite details is how the weights are accessed. The upper weight compartments have zippers hidden seamlessly along the shoulders, so they’re easy for an adult to access without having bulky, obvious closures all over the outside of the vest. The lower weights have their own pockets around the waist, which are secured with snaps to help keep everything contained and in place.

Having the weight distributed between the upper and lower portions of the vest also makes much more sense than concentrating everything in one area. The individual compartments keep the weights positioned where they belong instead of allowing everything to bunch together as the child moves.

The construction feels sturdy, the stitching looks clean, and the zipper operates smoothly. I also appreciate the full-length front zipper because it makes getting the vest on and off incredibly easy— especially important for a child who may not tolerate having something pulled over their head.

Another big plus is that it doesn’t immediately scream “therapeutic equipment.” It looks much more like a normal color-blocked zip-up vest, complete with pockets. That makes it considerably more discreet for a child who may wear it outside of the home, at school, or during therapy.

The inside is soft against clothing, while the exterior feels durable enough to withstand regular use. Most importantly, the weight system is removable and accessible, so the vest can be adjusted rather than forcing you into one fixed configuration.

There are a lot of small design choices here that I didn’t fully appreciate until I had the vest in my hands. From the concealed shoulder zippers to the snapped lower weight pockets and normal-looking exterior, this feels exceptionally well thought out.

It doesn't look like therapy gear, so they don't feel self-conscious wearing it around others. The cotton blend is soft, and the inner lining doesn't bunch up or itch over a shirt.

As soon as this arrived last night we opened it and had one of my kids try it on. He wore it for 30min and he forgot he had it on.

This vest is so nice! It looks like a regular vest which is so important to these kiddos, so they don't look different. You can tell this company had that in mind. The stitching looks great, the vest material is light so it can be worn almost all year around for school.

It came with 2 different weights, they are very well made and fit great in each pocket. I love that the pockets has snaps instead of velcro to close them.

It also has pockets around the shoulder area for more pressure.

I want to order another one for my other kid but I have to wait for them to release size 6/7. It is a bit pricey considering kids grow up so fast but hopefully it would be totally worth it.

Very happy with this! My son (8 yrs old) who is asd, has sensory processing disorder. As he's aged, he's gotten a lot better but things like this help keep him from hitting that threshold.

This looks like a normal vest. No one would even know there's anything therapeutic about it. Not that I care but you know it makes my son feel better. He used to like to wear those compression tank tops, but they look ridiculous (in his words not mine.) as he gets older he just wants stuff that fits in and looks the same as everybody else else's.

What is super awesome about this vest is it's flexible. You choose your weights. You have plenty to choose from and different sizes. They line all around the bottom- front and back and on the shoulders front and back and top. On the shoulders, there's zippers that slide the little beanbag weights in and on the bottom they just slide in and snap shut . Even if you don't put a weight in or skip every other one empty you can't tell. Some days he may not want as much weight as the previous day that's what's nice about this. It grows with them and it's flexible.

My youngest son (6) who has a little bit of attention disorder-we also tried it on him. We were just putting a weighted blanket on his lap during school and this time we tried the vest perfect worked like a charm. I'll be ordering a smaller one for him.
