What is the Science Behind Weighted Blankets?
The science behind weighted blankets is called Deep Touch Pressure (DTP). DTP is simply distributed weight across the body. If you'd like to read more about the natural benefits of DTP, we wrote a guide to it here.
DTP releases serotonin in the body which turns into melatonin, as well as decreased nervous system activity. These combine to give a feeling of calm, relaxation and naturally improved sleep. If you'd like to dive into the studies about weighted blankets and the science behind them, we wrote an article on it here.
Who Do Weighted Blankets Work for?

Super warm and durable. Helped my son sleep a bit better.
Plush texture and good insulation.Must say a right decision to purchase one ,the quality & warmth is undoubtedly the best.
I got it for my 6 y.o. daughter to get through stressful period of moving and changing school.I love that it is soft as normal blanket and the cover is super cute. You only notice that it is heavy when you need to lift the whole thing. You don't feel any beads in it.It is well made and very cosy. I had to wash it, and it washes well. Now my second child wants one too. And I'd love to have an adult option to be honest:)I only wish I'd get a bigger size, it looks like my girl will outgrow it soon. But for 2-3 y.o. it would be perfect and would last for years.
This blanket has so many things I look for in a blanket for my kids. It's super soft, very high priority. I love that it has a removable cover for easy washing. The only thing I was disappointed with first off was that I had to knot the cover to the blanket, i'm worried it will be a pain for washing it, wish it had buttons or two ties to make a bow. We've just used it a couple nights. Im hoping it makes a difference for my little ADHD sleeper.
This is by far the best weighted blanket. I have bought a few of them and this is by far the softest, no odor, and comfy weighted blanket. My kids are picky and they don't sleep well without this blanket. This is my second purchase just in a different color because we love harkla weighted blanket brands! I'm hooked on the blanket too and I'm an adult.
